Useful tips for the care and washing of Menstrual Briefs, Sanitary Pads and Washable Panty Liners
Once removed, if possible, it would be a good idea to rinse them with cold water and (optional) a quick rub with Marseille soap, then wring them out and store them with the rest of the laundry until ready to wash.
If you don't have the chance to rinse them right away, you can store them sealed in a wetbag (waterproof bag) or an airtight bag and when the time comes, put them in the washing machine with the rest of the laundry.
I recommend not exceeding 3 days before washing them.
In the case of panty liners, if they are not very dirty, they can be put directly in the washing machine once used without leaving them to soak.
Until then they will be fine inside a small wet-bag/plastic bag waiting for their turn in the washing machine.
For more stubborn stains, you can pre-treat with percarbonate (an excellent natural bleach) and leave it to act for a few hours before washing in the washing machine.
All pads/panty liners/menstrual panties can be washed both by hand and in the washing machine.
The ideal detergent for the washing machine is the ecological one, liquid or powder, while for hand washing the Marseille laundry detergent, solid or in flakes.
They can be washed in the washing machine together with the rest of the laundry at a maximum of 40°C.
They come out great!
If after washing there are any streaks left, the best, most effective and natural thing to do is to expose them to the sun when possible, the sun's UV rays act as natural optical brighteners and also have a bactericidal action.
NB: AVOID THE USE OF DRYERS, BLEACH, CHEMICAL OPTICAL BRIGHTENERS, FABRIC SOFTENERS, IRONS AND DIRECT CONTACT WITH RADIATORS.
