The Women's Circle is a sacred space where women gather to share their experiences, emotions, needs, desires, dreams and hopes, in a climate of welcome, listening, respect and non-judgment. It is a place where women can express their deep and authentic nature, rediscover their inner wisdom, heal their wounds, support each other, grow together and celebrate their femininity.
This ritual is also a way to reconnect with the feminine cyclicity, that is, the natural rhythm that regulates the life of every woman, in harmony with the seasons, the lunar phases and the menstrual cycle. The feminine cyclicity is a source of power, creativity, intuition and transformation, which is often ignored, repressed or denied in modern society, dominated by a linear, mechanical and patriarchal vision of time and reality.
Every woman lives her cyclicity differently, but we can identify four main phases, which correspond to four female archetypes: the girl, the mother, the wild woman and the wise woman. These phases alternate during the month, following the menstrual cycle, but also during the year, following the seasons, and during life, following the evolutionary phases of the woman. Each phase has its characteristics, its gifts, its challenges and its opportunities, which we can know, accept and value, thanks to the circle of women.
The Maiden corresponds to the pre-ovulatory phase of the menstrual cycle, the waxing moon, spring and childhood. It is the archetype of youth, freshness, curiosity, lightheartedness, vitality, joy, enthusiasm, trust, openness, innocence, creativity, learning, exploration, independence and freedom. It is the time when we feel most energetic, optimistic, sociable, communicative, proactive, organizational and productive. It is the time to start new projects, to set goals, to plan, to act, to express our ideas, to show our abilities, to have fun and enjoy life.
The mother corresponds to the ovulatory phase of the menstrual cycle, the full moon, summer and maturity. It is the archetype of fertility, generosity, abundance, nourishment, care, love, sensuality, beauty, harmony, collaboration, sharing, acceptance, empathy, compassion and wisdom. It is the time when we feel most feminine, attractive, magnetic, affectionate, gentle, sweet, serene, balanced and intuitive. It is the time to give life, to create, to nourish, to protect, to support, to relate, to cooperate, to harmonize, to mediate, to listen and to love.
The Wild Woman corresponds to the pre-menstrual phase of the menstrual cycle, the waning moon, autumn and menopause. It is the archetype of rebellion, transgression, strength, passion, creativity, instinct, intuition, magic, transformation, healing, purification, liberation, authenticity and truth. It is the time when we feel most powerful, wild, passionate, creative, instinctive, intuitive, magical, transformative, healing, purifying, liberating, authentic and truthful. It is the time to break the rules, to challenge authority, to express our anger, to claim our rights, to assert our needs, to follow our desires, to change what we do not like, to heal what hurts us, to purify what weighs us down, to free what limits us, to be ourselves and to speak the truth.
The Wise Woman corresponds to the menstrual phase of the menstrual cycle, the new moon, winter and old age. She is the archetype of wisdom, knowledge, awareness, reflection, meditation, vision, prophecy, memory, tradition, spirituality, mystery, silence, emptiness and renewal. It is the time when we feel most wise, aware, reflective, meditative, visionary, prophetic, memoryful, traditional, spiritual, mysterious, silent, empty and renewed. It is the time to retreat, to rest, to reflect, to meditate, to dream, to vision, to prophesy, to remember, to pass on, to connect, to listen, to accept, to let go and to be reborn.
The circle of women helps us recognize, live and integrate these four phases and these four archetypes, which are part of us and make us unique and special. It helps us understand the profound meaning of our cyclicity, to value its gifts, to overcome its challenges, to exploit its opportunities, to respect its rhythms, to celebrate its phases. It helps us get in touch with our essence, with our soul, with our sacredness. It helps us to be happy, complete, harmonious women and at peace with ourselves and with the world.
